In his Podcast for December 13 titled “IPods, Podcasting and Radio?” at 5 minutes into the show, Jimmy Jett provides a very clear view about the transitions that traditional radio has gone through, what qualities it may have lost and how it is (or could be) threatened by Podcasting.
Funny how at the same time traditional telephone networks are being threatened by Voice over IP (VoIP). All types of audio distribution seem to converge to the Internet Protocol.
I guess the phone network companies could now attack a new market with their excess bandwidth: distributing podcasts!
